David Foster - Lead Vocals & Guitar

David Foster is the singer/songwriter and lead guitarist of The Vinyl Junkies. Having played guitar growing up, he decided in 2006 with life-long friend and fellow founder Alex Gatt to form the band. His influences transpire through many genres with some of his earliest influences being the likes of Johnny Winter and Mick Taylor.


Alex Gatt - Drums & Vocals

A power house of rhythm with vocals to match, Alex is a fluid and innovative drummer taking influence from Keith Moon and Topper Headon. Keeping the Junkies’ in time and a vital member of the band; Alex is a versatile, fun and above all a tight drummer.

 

 

 


Matt Cowling – Guitar

Matthew Cowling joined the band in early 2009. Upon instant arrival, Matt brought a contemporary feel to the band and his ability to write ear-catching guitar riffs is still a driving force in the bands’ current ever-versatile sound.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jamie Thomas – Bass Guitar

Jamie Thomas is the newest member of the band; joining in late 2010. Since joining the band Jamie has added another dimension to the rhythm section. His influences draw from John Entwhistle to Geddy Lee and this underpins The Vinyl Junkies’ sound.
